HONG KONG? DOES IT REALLY MATTER? 

Take a good look at the screenshot from CNN news as I was writing this post. Where does the story on Hong Kong show up? It’s practically an game of, “where is Waldo”. So, does it matter? Does Hong Kong matter? In the past few months, I’ve addressed this issue several times, but today’s events make this topic worthy of at least a quick follow up. Sad right. “A quick follow up”? 

CCP and the 70th Anniversary:

When I woke up this morning, the first headline I read was the issue of the shooting (s) in Hong Kong. Why? Because I don’t wake up to US network news. Why? It’s a waste of time, that’s why. Anyway, as I was reading about the shootings, I had to wonder, “who didn’t see this coming”? Today is the huge celebration in Beijing, 70 yrs of the so called, “Communist” Party of China.  Hint, there as never been a true “Communist” party anywhere in the world.....none! But, this never the less, the CCP event was a big....BIG....deal. Was it part of Xi’s “coming out” program? You bet. Why do you think it was centered around a military show of force? Not a parade, but a show of force. By the way, when Trump tried to have one of these for the 4th of July, the Democrats and the Telatubbies of the US had a complete fit! Today was about China. Today was all about the growing power of the Emperor’s Empire. Did anyone think for a second the protestors in Hong Kong were going to rob the Emperor of his moment? Did someone need to be shot to make Beijing’s point, because that is exactly what took place. It mattered to Beijing. Did it matter to anyone else? 

Coverage of the Hong Kong shooting:

BBC, Drudge, Sputnik and on and on, they covered the issue. Where was the US? Where were the congressional supporters of the kids in Hong Kong? I will tell you where they were, just look at the front page of CNN. “Trump.....TRUMP.....TRUMP.....TRUMP! The circus the US now calls DC is paralyzed by the glee of tearing the current administration apart. Even more dangerous, far more dangerous, the IC / Intelligence Community of the US is a weapon against political adversaries. To the rest of the world, specifically the US’s enemies, the US is tearing itself apart and all in the name of what both parties claim is Democracy. By the way, the US is. Republic, don’t forget that if things continue to get worse. 

Embolden:

How many times have I used that world in the past several years? Does anyone in US politics even understand what that word means? Hong Kong will never be allowed to pull away from the Emperor. The world is addicted to the Emperor’s economy and like any drug attic, we may protest. US congressional leaders may give emotional speeches, in the end, the youth of Hong Kong is doomed. Yes, I said it folks, doomed. The price is too high for Beijing to let it continue. The threat is too real of an attitude spreading to the mainland. Like any virus, think Arab Spring, this virus in Hong Kong will be crushed. What will be the reaction in DC? Well, the circus will continue!
