DESTROYING OLD FRIENDSHIPS AND THE CRIPPLING OF A NATO PARTNER
When I finished writing about the recent events in Turkey yesterday, I overlook one very important issue that needs to be addressed. I guess this happened given I was preoccupied with reviewing the strategic “Big Picture”.
Well, let me make an attempt to rectify that oversight!
As I have stated in the past, it is my opinion one of the primary goals of the Tsar is the neutralization or even dismantling of NATO. His actions over the past several years have given so many indicators of this tact, it’s impossible to believe the big thinkers in DC or London or Germany don’t understand what is taking place.
What is the latest example of this NATO neutralization plan?
Turkey and the utter destruction of the Turkish Military’s leadership, that’s what!
I’m not sure how many people outside the leaders of NATO leadership truly comprehend what EgoDan did to his own military Command and Control in the days following the attempted Coup in July.
If you are not comfortable with the complex dynamics of effectively controlling or deploying a force as large and as technical  as the Turkish military, then let me paint a simplistic picture for you.
In the days following the attempted Coup, EgoDan order the arrest and most of the senior leadership of the Turkish Military. Those that were not rounded up by the state police, were paralyzed with fear and for good reason.
These sweeps were carried out down to the operational, unit level and were accomplished with very little analysis of what condition the military would be left in after the fact. Actually, neutralizing the militaries ability to function was EgoDan’s goal and his desired outcome was more successful than most of us realize!
Could the Turkish military defend the “Homeland”? Yes, but the concept of Combined Arms I am sure, “Combat Ineffective”. For those of you that are not up to speed on military doctrine, “combat Ineffective” means a unit cannot function at the level required to carry out its combat mission.
As a matter of fact, substantiated “rumors” flowed everywhere that the Turkish Military was “offline” as far as NATO Command was concerned. Those Turkish leaders who were left had no ability to coordinate the unified movement of the Turkish military as a whole. The truth is, they still can’t!
Simply put, the capability to function as a major member of the NATO force is “offline”!
Now, would NATO leadership admit to this? No! Why would they?
Can you rip the key leaders out of a NATO military to the level EgoDan did and be “Combat Ready”? No!
How long will it take to backfill capable leaders in all the key positions? My best guess is at least two to three years. It will take two to three years to build the combat leadership skills back into the Command and Control nodes of the Turkish military and that is only based upon those who were spared being brave enough to be proactive again. EgoDan’s wrath is unprecedented in the memories of those key military leaders that were spared.
Who was one of the first persons to call EgoDan and let him know, “I am behind you” ?
Yep……. The Tsar!
Who had the skill sets, the ability to help manipulate this failed coup in Tukey? Yep…. The Tsar!
I can’t help but believe when the Tsar saw the report on just how hard EgoDan came down on his own military leadership, a huge smile had to slowly form on that KGB molded face.
EgoDan, the guy the Tsar disliked more than anyone else in the region, had just accomplished what the Tsar would have never been able to pull off. The destruction a key NATO member’s military Command and Control! Brilliant!!! A word I use a great deal when talking about Putin!
A truly stalinistic purge the Russians could admire.
After this spectacular dismantling of the Turkish Military leadership, what needed to happen next?
Well, from EgoDan’s standpoint, he had to make sure the region understood his ability to respond was still alive and well. He had to prove Turkey was able to stay proactive.
How could he do this?
Well, it appears the best way was to conduct an operation in Syria. A concept that was now doable given his mending of fences with the Tsar. To him, a “twofer” was the answer. One; show he was still Sultan. Two; toss the Kurds into the basket of suspects for supporting the failed coup.
So, how did he sell this, well, in his mind, it was as simple as convincing the Tsar he would attack the “Terrorist” in Syria. What “Terrorist you might ask? Why the ones the West  / US / supports of Couse; just like the Tsar had been saying for two years now. But, while he was at it, might as well push the Kurd’s back from the Turkish border as well. After all, it’s highly possible the Tsar gave EgoDan some level of “green light” on the whole Kurd issue anyway. In EgoDan’s mind, why would the Tsar be willing to let these Kurds get in the way of a new friendship between the Ottomans and the Russian?  And even if he did, what was he going to do about it?
While all of this is going on, the remanence of Turkish military leadership see the only way to get back in the good graces of their leader. Take an operation into Syria! An operation the old military leadership had been adamantly opposed to for over five years!
Did this expedition into Syria prove the NATO giant was still capable of combat operations?
Well, to the skilled eye, no! But, to the average onlooker, it may have passed the test.
A very limited, very simplistic operation that had very limited goals. That is what a once very capable, very complex NATO member was now able to accomplish. Well, at least in the eyes of the Tsar. What a success story an all at the cost of betraying a few Kurds here and there.
At the end of the day, the facts are clear to those that know how to look for them.
One of NATO’s most valued members is a shell of it’s former self. And that shell is not command by a group of leaders who don’t dare be seen being cordial with the West / US.
Was the relationship between Turkey and the West on the rocks before the failed coup? Yes.
Was that failing relationship based upon military commander’s no longer Seeing Eye to eye with their NATO partners? No!
Old friendships run deep. Young Captains from 20 / 30 years ago still have ties to other NATO young Captains   from 20/ 30 years ago and they were all senior Commanders now.
But now, those enduring relationships have been severely disrupted. The ability to trust and quietly support each other, regardless of what EgoDan was doing, was now virtually gone!
Who would understand the value of such a complex game? Who would understand the advantage of destroying complex, old friendships?

A skill craft of a wise KGB Boss…………..that’s who!

THE SULTAN DANCES WITH THE BEAR!
Yesterday, I stated I was going to speak to the issue of the Mad Turk, a nickname others have given him. As for me, I’m sticking with EgoDan.
As usual, I want to break this discussion down into a series of questions and keep the explanation as simplistic as possible. Remember, I’m not pushing some pending book; not trying to get on Fox or CNN. I’m not wearing black turtleneck shirt and so no, I’m not trying to be a “Talking Head”.
Question number 1:
What Changed?
On July 15th EgoDan survived what he probably knew was coming, an attempt to toss him out.
When a person of his emotional instability survives and event such as a coup, you better believe his actions are going to be more than just erratic! Especially when the person is highly erratic to begin with.
A failed coup against a person like EgoDan was going to result in more than just a changed attitude. Revenge against those he determined were responsible was going to become the most critical issue on his long and irrational list of actions.
The next thing he needed to do was create his list of suspects and for a person as paranoid as him, that wouldn’t take long for him to post for the world to see.
Top of the list….yep…Gulen! Did he have something to do with the event? My opinion, yes! Was he the center of gravity for the coup? Nope! Did EgoDan love the idea of having the excuse to dismantle the movement in Turkey? Absolutely, so that is why he went to the top of the list. He’s a Terrorist you know, just asked EgoDan as he states it about three times a week. As a matter of fact, anyone who questions the Sultan is a Terrorist!
Next up, Europe or as EgoDan sees it, “The West”! Europe, you know, the EU that wouldn’t let the Ottoman’s join the club! I have no doubt in his world he believes the West was at a minimum, sympathetic to the coup. After all, EgoDan, in the West’s opinion, was and is responsible for the human wave that destabilized most of the E.U. A perception the Tsar is absolutely giddy over, for you see, the plan to flood Europe was his all along, but EgoDan took the blame.
So, in the mind of EgoDan, the plot was set to remove him from power and then stop the flow of displaced people into Europe. Oh by the way, EgoDan was more than happy to understand Terrorist were embedded in those human waves! “How dare Europe continue to keep me out of their club”!
As EgoDan sat to ponder how to get his revenge against the West / US / for being part of this betrayal, it must have dawned on him; dawned on him after the Tsar called him!
Yep. He would end his adversarial relationship with the Tsar and go one better than that. He would reach out to him and even fall into line with the Tsar’s way of thinking for the region! Well, not really, but it would be an easy story he could sell to the West / US / and would that ever make them upset!
Yep, like a defiant Teenager. “So, you won’t let me date him…..I’ll show you….I will run around with him and all his friends”….Singed….. The Preacher’s Daughter!
The Preacher’s Daughter’s mentality was an easy concept for him to come up with for after all, he could manipulate the Tsar just like he did the West!
Like I’ve always said; EgoDan is a fool and a crazy one at that!
At the end of the event, the results were clear to many, but not the folks in charge of D.C.  EgoDan and the Tsar had become dancing partners as the rest of the party attendees looked on in bewilderment or in horror!  All but one, Israel, but I won’t go there right now.
Yes, the change was set.  The Ottomans and their age old enemy, the Russians were dancing on the world stage!

Question number 2:
What will the results be of the Ottoman “change”?
Many have already asked the inevitable, “Will it last”? In a way, that question has to be tabled if one want’s to get to the answer of question number 2!
No! No it will not last. Something can’t last that never really started in the first place.
If anyone thinks some type of bond is taking hold between the Russians and the Ottomans, then they need to avoid world events because they are clueless. But then again, that may qualify them for a job at the US Department of State!
What is taking place between Russia and Turkey is a rather lopsided game of Chess. Yep, lopsided and my money is on the Tsar. EgoDan truly believes he can manipulate the Russians into letting Turkey neutralize the pending Kurdish state along the Turkish border based on land taken from what was once called Syria.
At that fateful meeting between the Sultan and the Tsar here is what I think was agreed to.
The Tsar would allow EgoDan to move on the Kurds in Syria and once again leave the Kurd’s being betrayed! Betrayal, a habit the West was skilled at when it comes to the Kurds, but now it seems it’s the Russian’s turn!
What the Tsar was looking for was far more complex and far more important to him than having the Kurds curse him for leaving them to be run over by Turkish Tanks!
NATO and the goal of seeing its demise.
As a reminder, over two years ago I posted my thoughts on the Tsar’s Master Plan to pull part of Europe back into the Russian Empire sphere of influence.
Manipulating the humanitarian crisis in what is left of Syria by moving the Russian Air force into the fight and then watching the human wave pass through the Turkish gates right into Europe; knowing all along the Terrorist were walking with them! That was the Tsar’s plan.
With the US conducting foreign policy from its knees at the command of a progressive Liberal, the Tsar knew full well the time was ripe to retake the part of Europe that he needed….his beloved Russian had lost under the foolish rule of the Communist.
The goal was clear to the Tsar. Make the people of Europe fear for their future. Make them look for security. Let the Terrorist wreak havoc on them and let them blame their current, Liberal leaders for letting it happen and soon, the Tsar and Mother Russia takes the stage as savior. To make this happen, the Tsar needed EgoDan and he needed EgoDan to think punishing the EU was his idea!
Brilliant…..simply brilliant!
Here is the scary truth. It’s working and it’s working far too well.
Just think of it, the largest contributor of ground forces to NATO is now killing the same people the West / US / is supporting in Northern Syria…..the Kurds!
As for that US / Russian / ceasefire and the purpose behind it, well that’s another story and one EgoDan has not realized yet! When he does, if he does, he will then see the complexity of the Tsar’s plan.
Yep, at the end of the day, the coup, the new found friendship and the crisis in Europe are all complex parts of an even more complex plan.
The continued solidification of the Russian Empire.
Tonight the Sultan dances with the Bear as they both smile, gleeful in their thoughts of how they have outsmarted their dance partner!
When the music stops, I’m betting on the Tsar being the only one that has a chair to sit down on!

THE MIDDLE EASTERN SCORECARD

Well, life got in the way of me getting back on track with keeping up with my favorite blog. Some of you that know me, know what that event is and has been, but that is not important, at least not at this moment. As I tried to dig my way out of the fog of stark new reality for me, one item did dawn on me that I could focus my thoughts towards again. The region of the world I’ve found fascinating for over twenty five years now. The Middle East.
I’ve written about this region since the day the Arab Spring began. Yes, I know, a title that most have already forgotten. It also dawned on me that post you words on the internet has the ability to make you somewhat immortal when you come to the realization you are not! But it’s also helped me realize something that is even more important to me, my family! What better way for my Son’s and my wife to realize my thoughts about this complicated world, even more than they already do?  Now, my Sons have heard me address my thoughts about the world they are going to live in and just how important it is to understand what is taking place and why. They both have heard me say time and time again, “know why something is happening and know how it may impact you and those around you and you will have an advantage over most of the people you come in contact with. Yes, I used the word “advantage”. Not an evil word. Not a negative word, with the exception of one political party I can think of that happens to be in the US, but that is another topic.
Legacy. That is the renewed drive with this blog. It’s over five years old and has over a thousand post with each one of them being my thoughts and theory’s on what is taking place in the world and why. Now, most of those post have been centered on the Middle East and for selfish reasons on my part. You see, that is the slice of the world I spent most of my thirty two years serving Uncle Sam concentrating on. Yes, I had some planning and operations time in the Far East and Europe not to mention the counter drug mission in Central and South America. But, in the end, my passion and my dedication was to the region of the world I was convinced years ago would lead to real changes in this world.  Oh ya, there is this book that talks about this part of the world as well and how it will impact the future of human race. I think most of you have heard of it!
Alright, in the end, this is about my Boys and what I can leave them. Words and logic are powerful tools in any language and every culture. Being informed will be more important in the 21st century than at any point in human history. Arming my Son’s with knowledge and not just guns that is my goal!

Now, let’s get down to it. Let’s talk about the Middle East and what has taken place since I was sidetrack a few months ago.
First off, did I call it when it comes to the madman in Turkey or what? Go back and read the post where I talked about his attendance at the Officer promotion ceremony, an event that is coveted to the Turkey Military. When I stated EgoDan, yep, my name for him, could be looking over his shoulder for yet another Turkish military coup, I had a hunch one was “cooking”!  I will come back to the repercussions of this event combined with the “lost at sea” foreign policy of the US at a later date; maybe even tomorrow!
After the events in Turkey, we cannot overlook or underestimate the chess game the Tsar continues to play throughout the region. You know, to the Saudi’s and others in the region, hearing your staff say to you, “Sir…… the Russian President is on the phone and would like to talk to you”, must be like being in the witness protection program and suddenly getting a phone call from a friend in your old neighborhood!  Putin has woven such a complex web in the region now, even most “experts” on his actions are confused. The problem is, the confusion is topped off by pure paranoia!  Again, an update on where he is trying to take the region is a topic for a later date, but not too much later given the level of importance his actions have with everything else that is taking place in the region.
Ok, next update topic and it’s a good one. Iran.
Did the US pay an exorbitant amount of money to get a few people home? Well, to hear the administration talk, no, but then again………….. what did anyone expect?
Is Iran pushing its influence further in the region? Well, it’s much better funded to do so now; thanks to the US.
Is that how the GCC members see it? Absolutely!
Does that bother the US administration? No!
Does all of this further destabilize the region? Yes!
Does the US realize this as well? No!
Why? Well, I would say a clueless Department of State, but this is yet another topic for another day.
Ok, last but not least.
Are the Persians worried about the Tsar and his own goals for the region? If you said yes….Bingo…..good job!
Now, on to the GCC.
How confusing must it be for the GCC leaders?
When the region started its slide into madness, five years ago, the GCC tried their best to “control” the atmosphere that was engulfing them. It worked for a while, at least they thought it did.
Five years later and how much of what is taking place in the region is influenced by the GCC members?  I can tell you this, it’s far less than they are comfortable with. The conflict in Yemen drags on and on and the events in Syria are not way….way….out of their control. It’s a global superpower game and they are no longer invited to the game.
In the end, it’s hard to gauge where the GCC stands with events in the region and that bothers them the most. They have lost the ability to control or influence actions around them and that leaves them in a sit and wait mode. A mode the GCC leadership is not comfortable with.
By the way, someone has a plan. The Saudi 2030 plan and when you read it, it almost seems like a change is on the horizon!  Well…..almost……..let’s hope! It’s a great concept, in theory!
Egypt?
Where in the world did this topic go?
The center of gravity for the first two years of this six year run of madness in the region.
So, why has it fallen off the “radar”?
Well, for one thing, if you don’t have blood pouring down the streets of your country right now, then it’s hard to get the world to pay attention to you.
Egypt is a quiet partner with many interesting and even interesting “friends” right now, as the counter plot for the Turks continues to ferment.  No love there and you don’t even have to ask to find out.
It’s been a long post tonight, but let me end this one by addressing the most dangerous game taking place on this updated scorecard.
Israel!
Throughout history the mistakes of overconfidence have littered the battlefields.
Iran has a lot going it’s way right now. Russian support, or so they think!
A military campaign in Syria that is regaining ground for the first time in nearly five years.
A proxy puppet named Hezbollah that seems to have regained an upper hand in Lebanon.
And now, it seems the Persians are letting their generals tour the border of Israel right in open view of the IDF.
Stack that on top of moving fighting units from Hezbollah into the same border area and what do you have?
A recipe for disaster based on the overconfident Persian leadership.
I find it hard to believe the Iranians can equate their ability to manipulate the West / US / with having the opportunity to prance back and forth along the Israeli border.
Let me put this another way. If I was in one of those Hezbollah units being moved into that region and I was told to make myself seen, I would make sure my family has a plan for my belongings!

The scorecard for the region is more chaotic than it was three months ago, when I last posted my thoughts. Like most scorecards, you need to make sure you are using a pencil. The changes are fast and furious and speeding up as I write this!

RUSSIAN “PROVOCATION” AND THE LOOK OF A CONFUSED DOG.

As most of you have undoubtedly read by now, “these actions are not new”! Yep.  That was the first words out of the mouths of the talking heads!
Were the actions near the ship and the actions near the aircraft “dangerous”?
Yes!
Were they deliberate?
Yes.
Were they condoned or even dictated by Russian leadership?
To some degree, most likely.
So, where are these events provocations, acts committed to “send a message”?
Nope, at least that’s not the primary impact the Russian leadership is looking for and this is the part the Talking Heads get wrong……..way wrong!
Provocation is a secondary goal, a goal most likely of some of the Russian military leadership, but it’s not the Tsar’s goal!
Ok, if provocation, sticking his finger in the US’s eye is not the primary intent of the Tsar’s actions, then what is he up to?
Events like these are “messages”, now figuring out what is the message and who is the message for; that is the key.
Ok, enough with the mystery novel approach, let’s get down to it.
September!
Elections in September in Russia.
Just how important are they to the Tsar, to his vision of the new Russian Empire?
The Master Plan!
A disruption of the September elections seems to be a paramount concern for the Tsar?
Why?
Why are those particular elections suddenly far more important to him than any of the others he has traveled through in the past fifteen years?
What part of his Master Plan is based upon the planned results he needs from the September elections?
Why is he so worried about “interference”?
In the past thirty days, time and time again, the Tsar has linked events to “outsiders” trying to impact the results of the elections in September?
Does he really think anyone in the West is so organized, capable of plotting the disruption of Russian house elections?
Really?   I know he loves to overestimate the ability of the West to jointly plan his demise, but I can assure everyone, that is a byproduct of his paranoia and has nothing to do with the amateur hour the US calls Foreign Policy!
Is that it?
Is his message, “you better leave me alone or things could get out of hand”?
I could be convinced of that line of thought, but I still have an alternative perspective.
Who is the Tsar truly worried about?
Is he convinced the West is trying to disrupt his Master Plan, impact September’s results?
Or, is he more worried about those voters he is truly counting on?
Is the love affair with the Tsar as strong as the Talking Heads make it out to be?
Is he truly the hero of the Russian people, even to the point that they simply do as he edicts come September?
Are there cracks in the Tsar’s armor?
Who is the “message” for?
Who is the, “look at us…..look how we make the West drop to their knees” message for?
Who is the Tsar trying to convince…..the US ….the West….. or his own people?
For several days now, I’ve watched and listened to the discussions on the topic of these encounters.
Everyone is stuck on how dangerous and the stand answer comes out, “ nothing new here” look the other way……look…..Trump said something…..everybody…….look over there!!!!!!! It’s TRUMP!!!!!
The mysterious actions of the Tsar continue.
Why is September so important?
What is going to take place based upon the results he’s planning on?
What has him so nervous that he would allow his military the thrill of doing what they are continuing to do……. Push their age old enemy more and more frequently?
The most mysterious man in the world continues to act out a drama, a mystery that most of us are reacting to like a dog and a high pitched noise!
Day by day, this Russian Opera seems to grow more intense.

THE UKRAINE…. “CHOSE CAREFULLY”!

Was the resignation of yatsenyuk a surprise?
No.
Did Europe anticipate this event?
Yes, to some degree.
Did the Tsar?
Oh yes………….Absolutely!
If you are tired of me talking about the Tsar’s “Master Plan”, then you might as well go read something else because that is where I am heading once again!
Go back to my comments a few months ago about why the Tsar moved on Syria?
Go back to my theory of reshaping Europe into an environment where opposing the “New Russia” could not be challenged or even better yet, condoned.
Enter the weaponization of immigration and the crisis it placed on all of Europe.
Go back and look at what really……really upset the Tsar…..to the point he decided a good defense is a strong offense.
The Ukraine and the drive by the West / Europe / to place it solidly in the Western “camp”!
So, did the Tsar take his eye off the Ukrainian ball?
Did he focus so much on the new playing field in the Middle East that he let the events in the Ukraine just simmer?
No!
The Tsar’s Chess skills are far too superior to those who attempt to stay on the table with him to let such an issue take place.
Timing, the Tsar is all about timing and the resignation of his enemy, Yatsenyuk came within the window of expectation!
Europe; the place where common, everyday hard working people, not college students, artist and Poets, but the people who actually pay the bills, have grown more discouraged with  current “leadership” than any time in the recent past. A place were rumors of future leaders, leaders who have a very different attitudes towards weaponized immigration lurk in the political shadows. This is the Europe that now mush watch the events of the Ukraine.  A Ukraine ruled by the same liberal, “dreamer” mentality that has given all of Europe the Middle Eastern migration. A Ukraine that is at sitting on the edge of open hostilities with the one leader the common, working class people of Europe may be identifying with. The one European leader who looks at progressive leadership as a pariah on hard working people.
Yep…. Rumor upon rumor….. The Tsar is a folk hero in many parts of Europe. A Europe that must decide if the Ukraine is not better off in the hands of a strong leader than it is was in the hands of a campus hero….Yatsenyuk!
Timing…. The Tsar is all about timing and the phases of the “Master Plan”… the plan to rebuild the Russian Empire.
Will the new, emerging, and Europe stand against the Russian pressure on Ukraine?
Times have changed and changed dramatically since the last round of conflict in Eastern Ukraine.
Europe is changing and the Tsar is the change agent!
Kiev. What is your next move? “Chose you words carefully for they may be your last”!

PUTIN NEW NATIONAL GUARD? WHAT IS HE UP TO NOW?

In all likelihood, the news of the Tsar spinning up some new force in Russia is not new “news” in the West…….well……..let’s hope it’s not!
In the never ending soap opera of, “what is he up to now”, this episode falls into the category of plot change, even more so than the sudden move into Syria.
What happened?
What changed? Sounds like the same question I asked just a few short weeks ago as the Tsar announced the so called withdrawal from Syria.
Rumor! As this story tells it, the rumor is the Tsar is worried about the elections in September.
I hear that theory, but I still need to ask why this fear would warrant the deployment of a new force; a force commanded by one his most loyal followers?
Can the current Russian interior ministry forces not handle any potential social unrest? It has in the past.
Why does the new force have a commander that reports directly to the Tsar?
What is he worried about?
The West?
The West interfering with his Master Plan for the September elections?
Really? Like the West is that capable!
It can’t even get out of the way of its own shadow as it stumbles in Europe and the Middle East.
Now, most of understand just how paranoid the Tsar is and rational thought is not a strong point of his.
So, what is going on?
Let me take you back to a point that needs mentioning before we move forward on this episode.
Remember my comments about Putin Master Plan for the new Russian Empire and the vision he has worked towards for over fifteen years now.
Did something trigger this new force concept, or is this just the next phase of a the plan?
Has the Western intelligence network picked up on this new force concept and if so, for how long?
How will he staff it?
How will he pay for it?
How will he equip it?
How will he train it?
How much of the current interior ministry force will be left after it’s all over?
Is this just a conversion of the current force?
400,000 strong with Tanks and Artillery and Combat Helicopters; most of this already exist in the ministry.
Is he rebranding the ministry?
I don’t think so.
So what then?
If this is part of the complicated Master Plan for the new Russian Empire emergence, then what does the conversion accomplish?
Why did this fear of a pending election cycle come into the picture?
Has the Tsar realized the elections might not go just the way he needs?
Is he afraid of failure of the Master Plan?
Is there truly that much dissension in the public ranks?
Again, I don’t see it, but then again, I’m not near as paranoid as the Tsar.
“Used to maintain public order”?
A body of “executive power’?
What’s going on here?
This is far more fascinating than the blind, tabloid Western Media is paying attention to.
Good on ya BBC for at least putting this story out there.
This is going to be interesting to follow and that is exactly what should be taking place.

ERDOGAN……. THE SULTAN AND THE LITTLE VOICE IN HIS HEAD!

I have to wonder what it is like, to stand in a crowd of my military Officer Peers as we listen to a leader who strikes fear in the hearts of most of the people who we swore an oath to protect.
Is Erdogan…..Egodan…. unbalanced?
Yes.
Do his military Commanders believe this?
Yes!
Are they afraid of even being mentioned as being opposed to him?
Yes.
Are they willing to sit back and watch him destroy the nation they love?
Now, that is the real question!
Would the Tsar love to see a coup or even the rumor of one?
Yes.
Would it bother the Tsar if he was implicated in such a plot?
No.
The actions of Egodan have been “monitored” for over a decade now.
From the moment he came into power, people looked on in wonder!
From that day the West realized he was not going to support the attack on Saddam.
The “would be” Sultan has always felt the Europeans look down their Anglo noses at the Ottomans and frankly, there is some history supporting that perception. Turkey’s challenges with trying to enter the Boys Club called the EU has been a point of contention with the Turks for over twenty years.
When oil and gas became the issue for a post-Soviet East Europe, Tukey believed they finally had their club card for EU entrance. Wrong! Access denied!
Egodan came to power not unlike most radicals, on the wave of “we are sick of it” public sentiment.
But, he did his homework. He knew if the Turkish military leadership began to believe his vision of Turkey’s future put the nation at risk, then they would do what they had sworn an oath to do……save the country from dangerous leadership. His actions spoke volumes to the Western “Partners”. Finding a coup plot and then tossing everyone into the conspiracy list was not that hard to do in Turkey. Find a few and blame the many! That is what his plan was and that is what he did.
Now in 2016, he finds his friend’s list growing smaller and smaller. Yes he has some relationship with the GCC, but that is a matter of convenience, not a common core value of governance. Go back and review the history of the region and come to a conclusion on the topic of Ottoman and Arab relationships and then for the fun of it, toss in the Persians!
How has the “would be” Sultan taken this shrinking friend’s list? Well, like most irrational, ill-tempered people would. He got even madder!
Imagine you are a Major slice of NATO and when you show up in the US capital, the US President delibertly can’t find time to meet with you?
Does the Sultan pick up the phone and have a conversation about how it’s a misunderstanding and he would really like to meet?
No.
Instead he makes a spectacle of himself by having his security detail shout down and shove “protestors”, people I am sure he believes were set up by his arch nemesis Gulen! By the way, what about charges on these body guards? If Trumps people can be charged for pulling someone away from the danger zone around Trump, how about these guys, or was the whole Trump issue a setup? Just a thought!
I could go on and on about the daily adventures of Egodan, but let me cut to the chase.
As he stood in front of the TSK, the future leaders of the military that might rise up against him, did he try to inspire them?
No.
Did he make an attempt to explain to them why Turkey seemed to so isolated; isolated from close friends and Allies?
No.
What he did was threaten them!
‘There can be ONLY one Sultan!!!! And I am it’!!!!
What made him take such an irrational approach to this years speech to the TSK?

1.      He is a completely irrational person!
2.      Perhaps that little voice he hears in his head is telling him there is another Coup cooking?
